WING, the fish that talked back premiered in Official Competition of the 60th Locarno International Film Festival nominated for the Golden
Pardino (Leopards of Tomorrow) for young talent. This award winning film gainedinternational acclaim at more then fifty international film festivals, such as Ghent(competition Prix UIP), San Francisco (Golden Gate Award competition) Hamburg, Denver, Bilbao, Toronto, Rotterdam and the Short Film Corner Cannes. WING, the fish that talked back is distributed in the Netherlands by EYE. Elypse Short Film Distribution (Spain) represents the world sales.

Synopsis: Little Wing is now sure. Grandmother should be returned to China. Fantasy and reality begin to mingle in a story concerning an old lady who does not talk, some fish, and a cup of tea. We see this film trhough the eyes of Wing, who creates a totally artificial world for herself and doesn’t allow real life to get in. Her world is always miraculous, weird and sometimes frightenings.

Ricky Rijneke graduated as Master of Arts in European Media with honours. She is a film director who also works as scriptwriter, editor, photographer and graphic designer. Silent Ones is her first feature.
