REYKJAVIK-ROTTERDAM

Icelandic smuggling film by Oskar Jonasson. Adapted from a book by Iceland’s most famous crime novelist, Arnaldur Indridason, who co-wrote the screenplay. Feature Reykjavik-Rotterdam was the Icelandic submission for the Oscars, it won five Edda’s. Universal/Working Title Films released a Hollywood remake entitled Contraband starring and produced by Mark Wahlberg. The original film’s lead actor, Baltasar Kormákur took on the role of director.
