Reykjavik-Rotterdam, directed by Oskar Jonasson, is a co-production between Rotterdam Films (Dirk Rijneke and Mildred van Leeuwaarden) and the Icelandic company Blueeyes Productions (Baltasar Kormákur and Agnes Johansen). It was remade in the US as Contraband and directed by Baltasar Kormákur.

Reykjavik-Rotterdam centers on a security guard who was recently jailed for smuggling alcohol while working on a ship. As he struggles to support his family, he gets the opportunity to do one last smuggling job on a freighter between Reykjavik and Rotterdam.
